This is from Vinaya. Hare Kṛṣṇa. Dearest Mahārāja, please accept my humble obeisances. Recently, over the past few weeks I have been preaching online. Many followers of this Kṛpālu Mahārāja - Kṛpālu Mahāprabhu have been claiming that he’s greater than Mahāprabhu Himself. He also claims that he’s the combined form of Śrī Śaṅkarācārya, Śrī Nimbārkācārya, Śrī Rāmānujācārya and Śrī Madhvācārya. Apparently, he has a wife and three children too. I do not know what to do. Please help.
Answer by HH Bhakti Vikāsa Swami:
Well, why are you preaching if you’re not fit to preach? If you can’t… I mean this the kind of thing you are going to get. You should study Prabhupāda’s books thoroughly. So many challenges are going to come. If you can’t face them, then how are you going to preach? Anyway, what are you going to say to followers of this so-called Kṛpālu? Anyone can say anything. I could also say I’m an incarnation of Śaṅkarācārya, Nimbārka, etc. You could also. Hey, do you want to get into God business? You can become Vinaya Mahāprabhu. But what’s the śāstric evidence? What is the evidence in śāstra? If he’s Bhagavan, if he’s Caitanya Mahāprabhu, then he should have a sac-cid-ānanda-vigraha. But he’s old and ugly. So, this is all nonsense. Read Prabhupāda’s books. It’s a nice idea to preach, but if you want to get into public preaching, out on the Internet means public preaching, then you better know your stuff before you get out there. Take some training before you get in the boxing ring.
